A nervous system framework for grief, growth, and modern stress.

When life gets loud—stress, grief, uncertainty—we try to push through. We try to think our way out. But healing doesn’t start in the mind. It starts when the nervous system feels safe again.

Nature makes that possible.

Stoutreach partners with organizations to lead nature-based programs that help people reconnect with nature as a foundation for well-being and growth.

Returning to Nature for Well-Being

For most of human history, people lived in close relationship with the natural world. Our bodies and minds developed in forests, near water, across mountains and open land.

Modern life has pulled many of us away from these environments. The result is often stress, disconnection, and nervous systems that remain in a constant state of activation.

When people spend time in nature, something begins to settle. The breath slows, attention returns, and perspective becomes clearer.

Nature is not just scenery.
It is one of humanity’s oldest sources of regulation, clarity, and renewal.

The Healing in Nature Methodâ„¢

Developed through more than two decades of guiding youth, families, and communities in outdoor environments, the Healing in Nature Methodâ„¢ introduces simple practices that help people reconnect with themselves and the natural world.

Core practices include:

• Growth Mindset
• Gratitude
• Walking
• Earthing
• Forest Bathing (Tree Bathing)
• Mindful Breathing

These practices support nervous system regulation, awareness, and everyday well-being.

Programs, Retreats, and Leadership

Jason partners with organizations, communities, and families to design and lead nature-based experiences that support healing, growth, and well-being.

Engagements may include:

• Youth and family programs
• Retreat and camp leadership
• Workshops and keynote presentations
• Professional training for educators and facilitators
• Program development and advisory roles

Each experience is grounded in the Healing in Nature Methodâ„¢ while adapting to the needs of the people and organizations involved.
